A recent report from Fortinet FortiGuard Labs says that during the year 2013 a lot of malware designed to attack Android . Then what about other operating systems ?
Throughout 2013 Fortinet notes that 96.5 % of all malware in circulation is designed for Android . 3.45 % while the other is still targeting Symbian users .
" FortiGuard Labs identified more than 1,800 different kinds of new
viruses last year , and the majority of them targeting the Google
Android platform , " said Axelle Apvriller , Senior Mobile Antivirus
Researcher at FortiGuard Labs , Fortinet .
Although Android malware makers to be excellent , but it does not mean that other operating systems safely . According to Fortinet malicious programs to attack iOS , BlackBerry
and Windows Phone does exist , but the total amount of all of them is
still less than 1 % .
While Android , until some time in the future growth of malware for this operating system is expected to continue to soar .

Based on the growth of Android malware , we saw a lot of things to
watch out in 2014 because the rowth shows no signs of slowing down ,
even more quickly , " added Apvriller , in a statement received by the
editors .
